Lets talk about sartorialism.

Today i went into a savile row tailoring house called Norton & Sons. Had a nice talk with the owner Patrick Grant. Awesome dude, showed me fabrics they had (they had over 8000 different types of cloth).. asked if the jacket i had on was a harris tweed. :D

All their books are labeled (A being the cheapest), a two piece suit starting price in their company is 2900. its good to finally know how much these bloody things actually cost exactly.

Im thinking about a gray prince of whales check, something like this but not exactly:

It would be a double breasted with chocolate buttons.
But i might also go for a navy..

but i dream.

Whay. whatever, ill just get a suit made in thailand haha.

analways, ill leave it with this.

I was in Norton and Sons this past week and ordered some samples of shortlisted cloth. They sent it within the week. My camera on my lappy isn’t up to scratch but just to show you some of this. Its pretty rad I think.

I dont see why that actually matters, you gonna make your own suit or something?

It matters Joe because I actually like this believe it or not. At least I have the interest to learn about a traditional craft thats been around for hundreds of years.

Time and money permitting, yea I would love to have clothes made on Savile Row. and I can go on and on about this topic, but i rather spend my time on someone who gives a crap about something.

It was interesting to learn about what the extra leather slit provided on the penny loafer; from money for the payphone back when dimes were enough to make a call to a simply stylish approach.
